Octavix: Trending & Research
Effective September 16, 2026
Octavix helps you compare search interest, keep research findings and create PDF reports. This policy explains what stays on your device and what is sent when you load data, share a document or use the support form.
Your research on your device
Research titles, notes, findings, attached photos, saved comparisons, preferences and generated PDFs are stored on your device. Octavix does not provide a research account or cloud research sync. Previously loaded results are also cached locally so you can return to them without a new data request.
You can delete research, individual findings and reports in the app. Deleting research leaves previously generated PDFs in Reports. Clearing Cached Data removes temporary results and lookup lists while keeping saved research, findings, attached photos and PDFs. Device-level storage and backup settings are controlled by your operating system.
Loading search-interest data
Octavix uses Google Trends data through Trendly. When you request new data or suggestions, your selected topics, filters and dates are sent to that service. The connection also exposes technical request information, such as your IP address, to the service receiving the request. Avoid putting private or sensitive information into search terms.
Your research notes, findings, attached photos and generated PDFs are not included in these data requests. Opening saved work, inspecting a chart or creating a PDF does not automatically refresh its data. Service providers handle received requests under their own policies.
Photos attached to findings
You can attach up to five photos or screenshots to a finding by taking a photo or selecting images from your library. Octavix saves resized copies inside its local app storage. It does not upload these images or send them to Trendly. The saved copies do not retain the original photo metadata, such as location tags.
Removing a photo and saving the finding deletes the app's copy. Deleting the finding or its research project also removes its attached copies. Cancelling edits keeps the previously saved photos unchanged. These actions do not delete originals in your photo library. Attached photos are not included in generated PDF reports.
Sharing PDF reports
Sharing opens the system share sheet and sends the selected PDF to the destination you choose. A report may contain your notes, findings and conclusion, so review it before sharing. Copies saved or shared outside Octavix are controlled by their destination and remain there when you delete the report in the app.
Support messages
The Support Form does not require an account or sign-in. It stores the topic and message you submit, optional name and contact details, the page address, browser information, submission time and an internal handling status. Leave the optional contact fields blank if you do not want to provide them.
Submissions are stored for later support review and are not publicly readable. No automatic expiry is configured; messages remain stored until removed during support administration. Do not submit passwords, payment details, private research or other sensitive personal information.
Hosted pages and technical information
Octavix and its Privacy Policy and Support Form use hosted services. These services receive technical request information, including your IP address, to handle connections, deliver pages and store support submissions. A website you visit within the app also receives connection information and anything you enter on it, and may use cookies or website storage under its own policy. The Octavix Privacy Policy and Support Form do not include advertising or analytics trackers. The support form uses temporary browser memory for the current submission and does not require an account cookie.
Permissions and advertising
Camera access is optional and requested only when you choose Take Photo. Choose from Library opens the system photo picker so you can select images to attach; the app does not browse your entire library or request full photo metadata. You can save findings without photos and manage camera permission in iOS Settings. Octavix does not request microphone, contacts, location or tracking access. A country or region you select is a research filter. The app does not include advertising, behavioral tracking or purchases.
Children's privacy
Octavix is intended only for adults aged 18 or older. Anyone under 18 must not use the app or submit information through the Support Form.
Changes and support
This policy may change as the app changes. The effective date above identifies the current version. Use the Support Form for app issues, questions or feedback.
